Choose industrial castors for the actual route
The best starting point is the route a loaded trolley will travel. A smooth warehouse aisle, a threshold between rooms and a rough loading area create different demands. Record joints, debris, turning space and how often the equipment moves before comparing wheel materials. A castor that fits the mounting plate can still be unsuitable for the floor or operating conditions.

A practical selection sequence

- Measure wheel clearance, overall height, plate size and bolt-hole centres.

Specify the movement and stopping requirements separately
Swivel and fixed castors affect steering; brakes and directional locks perform different control functions. Check which movement a particular brake locks and whether it can be reached when the trolley is loaded. A parking brake must not be assumed to provide controlled braking while equipment is moving.
Practical checks
Pro tip: Measure bolt-hole centres separately from the outside plate dimensions. Similar-looking plates are not automatically interchangeable.
Pro tip: Test a loaded sample on the real route. An empty trolley test does not establish pushing effort or obstacle performance.
